Tonight's beer: Jailbreak Pour Righteous

Jailbreak Pour Righteous

Opens with a blast of juicy citrus bitterness—mostly grapefruit, oranges and limes alongside—with emergent flowers and pine. Flecks of grass around the edges. Pale bread manages to emerge through the middle, briefly, with dim possibilities of caramel; it vanishes rapidly as the beer dries out quickly and forcefully.

Medium-bodied, nicely carbonated. A bit of soft bready chewiness, a lot of resinous-syrupy stickiness. Eventually drying, scrubbing, refreshing, drying.

A very tasty and respectable IPA, from the most local-to-me commercial brewery I know of. Pretty intense and remarkably complex, not particularly balanced—but poised and graceful. Superbly drinkable.
