Tonight's beer:
Opens with a sparkling flash of grassy-floral bitterness, baked by bready sweetness. Pine and citrus and musk around the edges, hints of caramel and toast and dried pale fruits. Slides easily to dry through a quick finish.
Medium-bodied, some bready chewiness evolving to sheets of resinous-syrupy stickiness. Well-carbonated and scrubbing; toward the end, drying and cleansing and immensely refreshing.
A superbly tasty IPA, from a brewery I have to trek a little to fins but which I'm becoming a big fan of. Astonishingly intense, awesomely complex; something a lot like balanced, given the style. Well-integrated and gloriously drinkable. Yum, indeed.
