Boulevard Snow & Tell

Tonight's beer:

Boulevard Snow & Tell

Opens smoky-caramel-sweet, with threads of vanilla and molasses. Dried fruit (figs and dates and plums and maybe cherries) and baking spice (cinnamon and allspice and cloves) woven in, pale bread in the structure. Earthy-grassy-peaty bitterness steps forward through the middle, lingers into a gradually dry finish.

Medium-bodied, decently carbonated. Some soft stickiness inching toward stickiness. Distinctly smooth. Eventually something like refreshing. Very satisfying, gently warming.

A superb beer, kinda on the light side for me to call it a Wee Heavy (I don't, really). Intense and complex, wonderfully integrated is a bit of a malt-bomb. Gloriously drinkable. Yes, I'm a fanboi when it comes to boulevard, but I really, really like this.
