Tonight's beer:
Opens with a wave of dark baking spice—cloves and allspice and cinnamon—propelled by deep caramel sweetness, with flecks of maple. Soft pumpkin through the middle, maybe some toast and some ginger. Earthy-grassy-peaty bitterness into a slowly almost-dry finish.
Kinda thick, carbonation a little sparse. Thickly chewy, with sheets of syrupy stickiness lingering. Shuffles dryward but doesn't get particularly close. Roughly no alcohol presence.
This is one of my favorite pumpkin beers; definitely a dessert beer, but I'm okay with that. Intense as hell and nicely complex, nicely integrated if tilted heavily to sweet. Drinkable enough in a sipping dessert beer way. Yum!
