Tonight's beer:
Opens with an explosion of piney-musky-floral bitterness; densely threaded with pithy citrus, tropical fruits, melons. Pale-fruity sweetness emerges in front of the middle, followed by crackers and pale bread. Dries out steeply ad completely through a quick and short finish.
Quite light-bodied, with lots of fine, scrubbing carbonation. Quickly and completely cleansing, massively drying and refreshing.
A truly delicious beer from start to finish. Incredibly intense and crazily complex, gloriously well-integrated and a lot like balanced given the style. Drinkable as hell. A reminder I barely need that I should drink Allagash's beers more often.
