Avec les Bons Vœux de la Brasserie Dupont

Tonight's beer:

Avec les Bons Vœux de la Brasserie Dupont

Bright and fruity at the open, with lots of carbonation bite; apples and pears and white grapes—all wonderfully dry. Pale bread lurks in the middle distance in the middle distance, with grace notes of honey and caramel. Grassy-earthy-floral bitterness emerges through the finish. Powerfully dry to close.

Astonishingly light-bodied, with scads of carbonation. Scrubbing and powerfully cleansing and massively drying. The 9.5% ABV is so subtle and subdued as to be invisible. Powerfully smooth.

This is a beer we grab every year, usually to have around midnight on New Year's. This year, we crashed out early, so we're drinking this, now. Bit and intense, gloriously complex, stunningly drinkable. Majestically well-balanced and integrated, graceful as hell and subtle as the serpent. Fricking miraculous, really. One of my favorite beers on the planet, really; every time I have it I want to immediately have more.
