Tonight's beer:
Opens sharply bitter: musk and tropical fruits and flowers, layers of citrus (lime and lemon, orange and grapefruit), pine, grass, melons. Pale-bready sweetness lurks around the middle, recedes smoothly as the beer turns acutely dry.
Solidly medium-bodied, well-carbonated. Tons of lingering resinous, slightly-syrupy stickiness; eventually drying and cleansing, scrubbing and refreshing.
A superb American IPA I was happy to find while traveling and buy. Crazily intense and astonishingly complex, giddily unbalanced but poised and well-integrated and staggeringly drinkable. I'd heard excellent things about this brewery, and based on this beer I tend to concur.
