Foothills Jade

Tonight's beer:

Foothills Jade

Lots of bitterness around the opening: flowers and musk and grass backed against citrus and pine. Bread appears through the middle, with traces of caramel around the edges. Flickers of dried/candied pale fruits—apples, pears, white grapes—in the distance. Wraps up quickly dry.

Medium-bodied or maybe a little lighter, nicely carbonated. Massively scrubbing, extensively drying and cleansing. Wraps up neatly dry and powerfully refreshing. Lingering threads of resinous-syrupy stickiness.

A truly delicious IPA from a brewery I've become a big fan of, of late. Just crazily intense, imposingly complex if heavily tilted to hops and bitterness. Poised and graceful, wonderfully well-integrated. Drinkable as hell. I'm pleased we were able to find more of this.
