Tonight's beer:
Starts out intensely bitter: layers of flowers, orange, grapefruit, lime; threads of pine and musk and tropical fruits in the structure. Background framework of bread and caramel and toast, emerging mostly around the middle. Slides easily and quickly to thoroughly dry by the end.
Basically medium-bodied with a good amount of carbonation; some soft chewiness evolving to syrupy-resinous stickiness. Eventually drying and scrubbing, clean and cleansing. Powerfully refreshing.
A delicious beer, one of my all-time favorites. Better-balanced than any beer this hops-focused has any right to be, staggeringly intense and complex. Poised and graceful. Drinkable as hell.
