Tonight's beer:
Lots of pale bright citrus hat the front, promptly reinforced by flowers and grass and a few flickers of pine. Pale-bready sweetness through the middle with strong impressions of honey and dried pale fruit. Dries out forthwith, sharply and completely.
Surprisingly light-bodied for such a biggish IPA, with a lot of bright-prickling carbonation. Some resinous-syrupy stickiness, eventually drying and very refreshing.
A very tasty IPA, astonishingly drinkable even though it's maybe at the far end of its shelf-life. A little bit laid-back but complex, a lot like balanced for the style. Poised and supple and graceful. I'd love to find some of this fresh, but it's quite nice as it is.
