Milkhouse Dollyhyde

Tonight's beer:

Milkhouse Dollyhyde

Grassy-floral-earthy bitterness floats on top of pale-bready sweetness. Hints of caramel lurking, vague possibilities of dried fruit and bright spice. Wraps up quickly dry.

Very light-bodied, almost watery, with a good amount of fine-prickly carbonation. Softly scrubbing and quickly drying and refreshing.

A purely quenching session beer, delivered in half-liter bottles and clearly intended to be consumed in quantity; at 4.5% ABV, it's not punitively boozy. Reasonably intense and complex, given that low alcohol payload. No flaws, and nothing for any to hide behind, more subtle than anything else. Nicely drinkable. A pleasant find from a pretty local-to-me brewery.
