Tonight's beer:
Starts with a blast of bitterness: flowers wrapped in citrus (oranges, limes, grapefruit) backed by tropical fruits, melons, pine, and musk. Bread in the background, with quiet grace notes of honey and caramel. Slams directly to dry through the finish.
Just about medium-bodied, nicely carbonated. Quickly drying and powerfully refreshing. Some lingering strands of resinous-syrupy stickiness, then wraps up pretty clean.
Tasty as hell, tilting strongly toward the IPA end of the Amber/Red Ale spectrum. Crazily intense and dazzlingly complex, balanced and wonderfully well-integrated and drinkable as hell. I've been kinda in the tank for thse folks for a while (probably since I found about Critical Hit); it's nice to drink something this excellent from them.
