Tonight's beer:
Opens with a dense solid braid of vanilla, caramel, and chocolate. Dark bread back a bit. Hints of dried fruits, earth, and peat around the edges. Gradually kinda dry by the finish.
Medium-bodied, more or less, and decently carbonated. Some soft kinda-thin lingering stickiness evolves to a slightly chewy finish. Gently drying, tending toward refreshing, eventually.
A tasty and very drinkable porter, richly spiked with vanilla but nicely integrated. Pretty intense and complex, given the 4.7% ABV. Graceful and poised. Definitely a beer I'm happy to drink, from a reasonably local brewery (that I definitely need to get out to visit).
