Tonight's beer:
Opens briskly fruity-tart: bananas with hints of citrus; cloves in the background with a smattering of allspice and pepper. Pale-bready sweetness around the middle, briefly, alongside traces of smoke and bubblegum. Quickly dry into a short finish.
Light-bodied, highly-carbonated but notably smooth A little slick, a little sticky; quickly clean, cleansing, drying and refreshing.
A distinctly pleasant hefeweizen, pretty true to the style as best I can tell. Pretty intense and remarkably complex, superbly well-integrated and surprisingly balanced. Gloriously drinkable—almost impossible to drink slowly.
