Tonight's beer:
Opens with a wall of citrus: lots of grapefruit, smears of tangerine and orange, a flicker of lemon. Musky tropical fruits and melons around the edges. Flickers of grass and flowers and pine. Pale-bready sweetness through the middle, momentarily, then quickly very dry.
Well on the light side of medium-bodied, with lots (and lots) of carbonation. Some thin chewiness, a few wisps of resinous stickiness. Wraps up cleansing and dry and clean and very refreshing.
A beautiful beer to cap off a beautiful early-summer day (though I didn't spend much time out in it, because life (don't talk to me about life)). Plenty intense, but pretty straightforward—all that citrus! Nicely integrated and gloriously drinkable. Roughly zero alcohol presence. Another big-time winner from Southern Tier.
